Find your footing again.
At Elements of Healing Therapy, I help adults and couples across Arizona work through trauma, anxiety, and the patterns that keep repeating — by tracing them back to where they actually began. In person in Wickenburg, or by secure telehealth anywhere in the state.
Some things don't ease up just because time passes.
If you've been carrying something heavy — a past that still shows up, a relationship stuck on the same loop, or the quiet exhaustion of holding everyone together but yourself — you're in the right place. None of it makes you broken. And none of it is yours to carry alone.
The past won't stay in the past
Old memories, reactions, or anxiety that still surface — even when you've "moved on" and done everything right.
The same fight, on repeat
You and your partner still love each other, but keep landing in the same argument with no real way out.
Strong for everyone but you
People-pleasing, blurry boundaries, and a tiredness that comes from always being the dependable one.
Service shaped your family
Veterans, active-duty service members, first responders — and the families who quietly carry it with them.
Therapy that actually goes somewhere.
A lot of therapy stays on the surface. Here's what tends to make this work feel different — and why it sticks once you leave the room.
We look for the root
Instead of managing symptoms in circles, we trace what you're feeling back to where it actually began. That's where change holds — long after our sessions end.
Lived experience behind the training
I'm a military wife who's worked in K–12 schools, hospitals, on a kidney transplant team, and within the VA. I've sat with people from every walk of life, at their hardest moments — so you don't have to over-explain yours.
The right tools, matched to you
EMDR, IFS, PIT, ART, CBT, and DBT — evidence-based methods chosen for your situation and paced to your readiness, never a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Unhurried, and on your terms
This is your treatment and your goals. We move at your pace — in person in Wickenburg, or by secure telehealth anywhere in Arizona.
Specialties
A range of focuses, all approached the same way — by looking for the root, not just the symptom on the surface. Trauma and couples work have their own pages; for anything else, a quick conversation is the best place to start.
Trauma Therapy
Childhood, adult, and military trauma — traced back to the root and finally addressed, not just managed at the surface.

For partners stuck in the same fight, drifting apart, or trying to find their way back to each other.

A proven, evidence-based way to help the brain reprocess painful memories so they finally lose their grip.
Military & Veteran Mental Health
Service-informed care for service members, veterans, and the families who carry it with them. As a military wife, I get it from the inside.
First Responder Support
For the people who run toward what others run from — and the weight that quietly builds over a career.
Self-Esteem & People-Pleasing
Boundaries, self-worth, and breaking the habit of holding everyone together but yourself.
Addiction & Codependency
Working at the roots of dependency and the relationship patterns that grow up around it.
Healing has its elements.
The name isn't just poetry. Lasting change tends to move through the same few stages — and you'll feel each one in the work we do together. It's never rushed, and it always meets you where you are.
Grounding
We start by finding stable footing — safety, steadiness, and a nervous system that isn't always bracing for the next thing.
Processing
The memories and emotions that have been stuck finally get to move through you, instead of staying lodged where they hurt.
Transformation
The patterns that have quietly run the show — the reactions, the roles, the old stories — begin to loosen and change.
Clarity
You leave with perspective, language for what you've been through, and room to breathe — and to choose what comes next.
Your guide
A long road to this chair.
I'm Amy Manuele, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker here in Wickenburg. Before this room, I spent years as a social worker in K–12 schools, in hospitals, on a kidney transplant team, and within the VA — and I'm a military wife. That range means I've sat with people from every walk of life, at the hardest moments, long before "therapist" was the word on my door.
Mostly I work with adults — usually 26 and up — and with couples. Trauma is my focus, especially the kind that's been minimized, buried, or mistaken for something else. My belief is simple: looking for the roots, the core issues, is what actually helps with the things people come in seeking answers for.
Starting is the simple part.
Three small steps, and you're on your way.

Good questions, answered.
Starting therapy brings up a lot — here are the ones Amy hears most. If yours isn't here, just ask.
How do I begin?
The simplest first step is a free 15-minute consultation. You can send a message or call 928.588.2614, and we'll set up a short call to talk about what's bringing you in and whether working together feels right. No commitment, no pressure.
What happens in the free consultation?
It's a relaxed 15-minute conversation — by phone or video. You don't have to share everything or have it all figured out. It's simply a chance to tell Amy a little about what's going on, ask any questions, and get a feel for whether she's the right fit before you commit to anything.
Do we have to meet in person?
Not at all. Amy sees clients in person at her office in Wickenburg and via secure telehealth anywhere in Arizona — whichever feels safest and most accessible for you. Many clients do a mix of both.
What does it cost?
Individual sessions are $180 for 50 minutes, and couples sessions are $240. The initial 15-minute consultation is free. You can see the full breakdown on the Fees page.
Do you take insurance?
Amy is private pay and doesn't currently accept insurance. Working outside of insurance keeps your care from being limited by a diagnosis code or a cap on sessions, and it keeps your records private. Payment is due at the time of each session.
How do I know if what I went through “counts” as trauma?
If it still affects how you feel, react, or relate today, it counts. Trauma isn't measured by how “bad” the event looks from the outside — it's about the impact. Many people who come to Amy didn't think they'd experienced trauma; they just knew something wasn't working.
It starts with a conversation.
A free, no-pressure 15-minute call to talk about what's going on and whether working together feels right. That's the whole first step.
